With these poufs designed for the Vassar College’s entrance-hall, Eero Saarinen shows how the plain lines of a piece of furniture contribute to a successful interior. These complements suggest versatile features for conversation and waiting needs. Even this unpublished author’s project was developed thanks to the original drawings, letters and other rare materials donated by the Eero Saarinen and Associates office archives to the Yale University Library.
